I am flying off to Uruguay next Thursday. I rented a studio for a couple of weeks in Montevideo, two blocks from my sister's house and about five from my mother's. It has a great view and air conditioning so I assume I will be spending lots of time by the window with a glass of something or the other, chatting with friends. After NYE my sister, her hubby, their kid and yours truly will go spend a week with my brother in the house he rented at the beach (Balneario Solís). I am not really looking forward to being abused by American Airlines on the 12 plus hour flight, or by my mother immediately upon arrival, but I am confident that the right combination of drugs, alcohol and crafts will help me deal until I get to the beach. One can only hope.

Us, the easily entertained, spent a few hours today on a photo hunt. A completely unfair endeavor given that one of us, Rodrigo, is a pro with a pro camera. And then there is Quique and me, suckers with phone cams. Just saying.
